Have you read any of Mitch Albom's book yet?? If not, immediately go and buy one or download from the web!!!

His books are all very touching yet full of lessons. They are like classics which you can read over and over again.

The setting of this story is at a small town in Michigan, whose residence started receiving phone calls from their deceased love ones in heaven. And this caused a hoax among the rest of the world.

This is just my personal opinion. I personally think that this book is not as good as all of his previous works. This is still OK but not that impressive. He is Mitch Albom. I expected something spectacular from him.

Time

This post is inspired by the book The Timekeeper by Mitch Albom. I have been rereading this book again. Because I just love all of Mitch's books I can read them for 10000000000000 times. 

This book is about time. It may seem like the most abundant thing in this world but on the contrary it may be insufficient.

During certain times, we long for more time. We need more time, for preparation, for strategies and for any form of miracles. Those period of time, time is sacred and precious. We cannot afford to even lose one single second. The fear of losing time is what makes us treasure time. 

We need more time.

However, sometimes we hope that time will pass faster. This thought arises when we are in pain or misery, under gruesome suffering and in the midst of hardship, challenges and downfall. We secretly wish that we can turn the hands of the clock. To forward time like what we do with movies. The pain of going through tough things for a long period of time makes us fear time.

We do not need that much time.

There is always a reason why we have limited time.

I am pretty sure that lots of loves to reminisce the past. We want to go back to the past, our childhood time where we live without worries or our prime times where we reached the peak of our lives. Sadly, those times are only part of our fading memory. We cannot go back to those old happy golden days. But, we can learn to treasure them, cherish what we have and not to be calculative about what we do not have.

An Abundance of Katherines

OK so I just finished this book and I am dumbfounded.

Maybe I should just say something. 

First of all, I find the preview at the back a little bit absurd. How can one date 19 people name Katherine? And worst get dumped by all of them???

After reading then I found out that Colin Singleton is a prodigy. He mentioned that he is not a genius. But to me that is genius ok?? *Alert!! This book involves lots of equations and complicated explanations about LOVE! He tried to come out with a theorem, to determine the relationship between him and Katherines,and dumper/dumpee relationship. LOL. And it looks like this.

TADAH!!! It's OK if you do not understand. Neither do I. And friendly reminder, this is a love story not a math book!! So do read it !! HAHA. 

This Colin Singleton wanted to prove his theorem right, and have an eureka moment. Although smart and spoke like 10++ languages, he felt that he was not special enough. He wanted to become someone who mattered.

He wanted to do something remarkable. Like Thomas Edison who invented a lightbulb. Or Einstein who came up with an equation. And proven too!!

At last, a girl named Lindsey proved his theorem wrong. This is something weird to after nineteen Katherines, one Lindsey??? But still happy ending. Thank God. Just to mention, Colin went on a road trip with his bff Hassan to Gutshot where he met Lindsey. OK no more spoiler till you read it for yourself!! 

The Fault In Our Stars

I am sure that a lot of people out there had read this book. 

The Fault In Our Stars is the first John Green book I had read because of everyone's recommendation and of course its explosive popularity.

A very touching love story.

Very different from the usual sweet, romantic and life is a bed of roses love story.

It is quite tragic and traumatic in a way to me.

Hazel and Gus met each other, fell in love but can only love within the numbered days.

"There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers than I'm likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful." -Hazel Grace

SPOILER ALERT!!!

They met each other at a support group for cancer kids. It was love at first sight. Maybe? LOL. Hazel was a bit reluctant to let Augustus love her as she thought that she was a grenade, a side effect of the universe. But there's a twist of story at the end, Gus was the ill one. An honourable mention would be the book AN IMPERIAL AFFLICTION, which both of them read and later thought that it was a masterpiece. They used Gus' one and only cancer wish to meet the author of AIA, Peter Van Hountan at Amsterdam. Both Hazel and Gus wanted to know about the ending of AIA from Peter himself. Things did not went that smoothly as Peter Van Hountan hurt them with malicious comments and they failed to get to know the ending. Hazel and Gus decided to cherish their moment at Amsterdam and made the wish well spent. It was at Amsterdam Hazel got to know off Gus' terminal illness. Not long after battling with cancer, Gus lost. He was gone forever. It was sweet that in the end he asked Peter Van Hountan to write an eulogy for Hazel. Loved till the last moment.

Some parts of the story was very unexpected especially towards the end. Never did I expect that AIA was Peter Van Hountan's personal story, that Anna was her daughter.

Full of sad and touching scene. How can people who are going to die love like that??

The movie is going to come out soon. As in June. And it will probably take ages to hit theatres in Malaysia. 

Read till the end!!! The ending came in like a wrecking ball!!!

My next book review will be about LOOKING FOR ALASKA also by John Green. Ok, I'm so hooked to his books right now! Till then.
